More than 25 years rewarding the design.
29 CETEM Design Award
Aim
Reward the development of furniture design projects, whether furniture or other elements of the Habitat (for domestic use or contract installations), that represent innovation at any level: new conceptual proposals, use of innovative and sustainable materials, alternative production processes, adaptation to new lifestyles, consumption patterns, technological, social, and cultural innovation, eco-sustainability, etc.
Participants
Each company is free to submit as many projects as they wish and consider. There is no limit to the number of proposals submitted by each participating company.
Proof of professional qualifications for the designers or design teams will be required. That is, the project or product must be designed by a design professional. This must be demonstrated by the corresponding qualification related to Design in any field, Architecture, or other similar studies that demonstrate sufficient knowledge on the part of the designer(s). For professionals lacking an official qualification, proof of the designers’ professional capabilities will also be valid through demonstration of sufficient experience developing design projects with companies in the sector, which will be evaluated by the jury members.
Jury members, their family members, or professional collaborators are not eligible to participate.
Competition dynamics
The projects presented may be products that are already fully developed, published, or even marketed; or proposals that have not yet been materialized into a prototype, but are a future project that the company has developed with a designer.
PHASE 1: Submission of applications and projects.
Any company interested in submitting its candidature can register through the form included on this website.
This form will include:
A CETEM technical team comprised of Design and Innovation specialists will analyze all submitted proposals and preselect the most innovative projects, which will become the finalists. Based on the results of this initial selection, CETEM will communicate the results to the finalist companies, which must present their prototypes for evaluation in the next phase.
The finalist projects will be published at www.cetemdesignaward.com
The companies selected as finalists in the first phase will have until February 28, 2026, to present the product or prototype of their finalist project at CETEM’s facilities.
